Practical answer
Build a safe base scene, then add controlled event layers
Everyday orientation, queue and egress lighting should remain understandable without the show layer. Add dynamic facade, landscape or event scenes through separate control permissions, schedules, glare limits, fail states and commissioning records.
Decision matrix
| Site condition | Specification response | Approval evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Everyday arrival | Stable orientation and recognizable destinations | Base-scene calculation and night walk |
| Queue or gathering | Comfortable faces, controlled brightness and flexible zoning | Vertical-light review and scene schedule |
| Event overlay | Time-limited effects with operator permissions | Control matrix, rehearsal and rollback state |
Selection and verification workflow
- Define base safety and orientation scene.
- Map queues, dwell areas and observer views.
- Layer event effects without hiding base information.
- Assign permissions, schedules and fail states.
- Rehearse, measure and archive approved scenes.
Limits and responsibility boundaries
- This page does not claim Qiddiya project involvement.
- Event effects do not replace life-safety systems.
- Media content, controls and cybersecurity need appointed owners.
Evidence to request before approval
Treat a model name or brochure statement as a starting point. The offered construction and the supporting file must refer to the same configuration.
- Base and event scene schedules.
- Glare and vertical-light review.
- Control permissions and rollback state.
- Mounting and maintenance access.
- Commissioning and operator handover.
RFQ input checklist
A comparable quotation needs the same site inputs, document scope and commercial assumptions from every bidder.
- Country, city, site plan, application zones and current project stage.
- Fixture quantities, mounting details, voltage, CCT, beam and control requirements.
- Heat, dust, salt, water, irrigation, public-access and maintenance exposure.
- Datasheet, photometric file, drawing, material, finish and test-evidence requirements.
- Sample, mock-up, packing, spare-parts, delivery and warranty expectations.
